Sam had every right to be harsh to Crowley; I don't think the guy has come even slightly close to earning Sam's trust and kindness.

Yes but one minute they're working together and the next, he's enemy number 2, for no real reason. And it's inconsistent (ha ha) with their treatment of Meg, who was as bad as Crowley.
