Have to say, this was one of the worst directed episodes, ever. Someone needs to tell this guy that we're here to watch the show, not his distracting camera tricks. Lose the ego, buster!
I'm given to ponder from time to time how far writers are to blame for the scripts we see on our televisions. It was revealed, for instance, that a good deal of material, that focused on Sam's relationship with Lucifer and explored his decision to take the Mark of Cain, was cut from Berens' script for We Happy Few - demonstrating that a reasonably competent writer cam be made to look bad by a director's decisions.
Which leads me to wonder if the weaknesses in this script by Meredith Glynn, another reasonably competent writer, are actually due to bad re-writes from a demonstrably bad director.
