Yeah. I miss that show a lot. It's really hard to get engaged with where the story is going when it seems like that destination isn't going to involve Sam & Dean in any interesting way...
Yeeeup. It feels like the New Guard is hellbent on shoving this 'ensemble cast' idea into a show that wasn't created as such. Consequently, those of us who got addicted to SPN for one reason (or two, named Sam and Dean) are left without our fix. Either we accept the johnny-come-latey characters, in the desperate hope we get a hit of our drug of choice every so often, or we leave. (A nearly constant stream of convention teasers doesn't help.)
Okay, that was a little dramatic, but not by much.
Billie the Death insists that Sam and Dean are still important, so she can't condone their reaping yet. Yeah, really? How is that? I've yet to see it. I'll be 200% shocked if Dabb has something concrete planned for that foreshadow.
