OH MY GOD, this episode - for all the dumb plot-enabling it did along the way - had so much awesome stuff! SO MUCH. But Rowena, man oh man, she was just brilliant throughout and I kind of love how in a reverse heritage kind of thing she took up the legacy of Crowley as the Winchester's go-to-loved-baddy, without us even really noticing and in a totally charming and commemorating kinda way. So many epic oneliners in this and yes, I do love that Sam gets to buddy comedy with someone other than Dean and have a meaningful relationship to not talk about all the stuff that he can't actually process with his brother. Jack screaming his Winchesterness into the abyss in defiance, and hopefully not stepping into that trap of leaving him soulless to destroy the world but we know that's not gonna go well don't we (though to be honest, I don't really get that snake parable, I don't even know why because I get the concept of it and the different explanations but stil I don't get it.) I love that he kept the snake btw, who was just an innocent bystander in all this and didn't deserve to be left high and dry, as well as providing way better symbolism (I originally wondered whether gorgon!twink might be the actual snake from Eden) and who is probably a little bit magic and now running live commentary on the Winchesters' crazy lives in his head. And damn, Maggie, poor thing, I didn't want to have any animosity against her, but dude, I actually thought, 'well, thank god that's taken care off' when she angel burned. It was said in your voice in my head of course, because apparently I watch Supernatural with your commentary running in my head these days like I watch movies counting cinemasins. I'm very much looking forward to your weekly reaction posts which always make the episodes better in my opinion and feel like part of the show now, like Overtime with Bill Maher. Anyway, just wanted to say I appreciate you and your meta with more meta. Go figure. :)
