Oh yes, the pretty sure was dialed up to eleven (did everyone else notice those silver threads in Sam's temples and how they were gorgeously lighted because they didn't do anything too Hollywood to them and it names him look sage and mature and panty-sploding?) and I concur absolutely with you on the brilliant parts and the dumb parts. (Soulless!Sam missed a threapy session or threehundred, but let's face it, he's as good at repression as Dean if not better, so of COURSE we're not gonna get some meat from this writing talent *eyeroll*)
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that Jack went for Sam first because he's the problem-solving Dad while Dean is the fun Dad and you guys, the Winchester family feels in this episode just about knocked me on my ass. It also gave me a new appreciation for Alexander Calvert's acting ability... It took me awhile to warm up to him, but now I'm amazed at how many different things he can tell by just moving his eyebrows (it's like maybe he learned something from the two-dozen bitch-facing, one-single-tear shedding Jedi Masters all around? Or is that just me?)
But... Did everyone scream at the last shot, thinking that's the moment Jack saved the world, because Dean told him to make a wish and NOBODY REMEMBERED THAT JACK HAS THE CANONICAL ABILITY TO CHANGE REALITY WITH A THOUGHT??? DEAN what we're you THINKING? (Uhm, right, ya know, I have feelings about these things. But if it turns out not to be like that, can I at least get fic from one of the many talented authors around? Please and thank you?)
PS: wasn't the episode with Thor's Hammer actually Hammer of the Gods? (I wanna say 13x09 but don't hold me to it) which would be like, the easiest one to remember, lol, or am I throwing things together? Ok but now i gotta check.... Damnit. Back, OooooohOoooooh... Snap, it was actually What's up, Tiger Mommy, waaaaay back in season 8, and they haven't actively used it since. Dayyyyyummm...
