Last year was the first year I took part in both spn_summergen and spnspringfling and both were very positive experiences that I'm hoping to do again this year. Springfling might be a good place to start as the prompts are one worded and open to interpretation, the word count is limited to 2500, but the deadline is short (a week I think?)
