The "fauxmulet" is how some fans refer to the costume amulet from Fan Fiction, which Marie gave to Dean at the end of the episode and he hung from the Impala's mirror. Now it appears to be sitting in Sam's box, shown in bottom left hand corner of the penultimate screen cap in Caranfindel's post. It just bothers me that it's wound up here because it seemed to me that hanging it in the car was the next best thing to wearing it - and he wasn't going to do that because a) it looked ridiculous and b) Jensen doesn't want to chip any more teeth - but now he's given it to Sam apparently, so he's not even symbolically wearing it.
