It's time for the final round - let's pick the most rewatchable episode of season 9.

So. S9. A hard season to get excited about. As some of you pointed out in the comments on the first poll, this was more a season of rewatchable moments than entire rewatchable episodes. Let's take a look at the frontrunners.

The Purge - Yoga!Sam, obviously. But this episode also introduced us to adorable little cupcake Sheriff Donna, and Roofied!Dean, and Yoga!Sam desperately running through the halls looking for Dean. And that thing Sam says at the end, the thing that makes so much sense, that makes Sam's love and respect for Dean, as well as his desire to get the same respect from Dean, the thing that is so clear and yet is almost immediately rewritten by fans and by Show itself into something bad. Yeah, that thing. But still, Yoga!Sam.

Dog Dean Afternoon - I think you either loved it or you hated it. Things to hate: The dog's internal voice. Things to love: Dean playing fetch and yelling at the mailman and pigeons and Sam rubbing the little dog's belly and a nice dose of Hurt!Sam.

First Born - In which we first meet Cain, that loveable psychopath. And Cas and Sam have a nice moment where they talk about peanut butter sandwiches and Cas has to hurt Sam but doesn't go far enough to kill him because nothing is worth losing him. And single-layer Sam is almost as lovely as Yoga!Sam.

Blade Runners - The one where Cuthbert Sinclair decides to add Dean to his collection and figures out pretty quickly that the way to Dean's heart is through Sam's skin, and also the guys inexplicably don't recognize Enochian carved into the Impala. Just ignore that part and go back to Sam telling Crowley how useless he is. Hee.

Do You Believe In Miracles? - The finale that gave us mortally wounded Dean, desperate mourning drunk Sam, and waaaay too much Metatron.

Make your choice! Please vote by midnight (your time zone) Friday, April 29.

As always, no spoilers for unaired episodes in the comments, please!

I've voted but confess I've probably re-watched a total of 2 episodes from that season. If that. I am a bad fangirl.

Aye, I'll blame him.

Honestly, when I was typing up the episode descriptions, I was kind of surprised that there really weren't any great ones that jumped out at me.

Blade Runners is my fave episode, I loved creepy Cuthbert Sinclair and his desire to add Dean to his collection was so deliciously dark! Dean's struggle with the Mark began in earnest, and we got to see protective Sam, too.

I'll always have a fond spot for this season in my heart because it's the first season I watched "live," having binge-watched the first 8 seasons on Netflix. I think I watched every episode exactly twice except the finale, which I haven't been able to re-watch and maybe never will, but I voted for that one out of these because it wrecked me, and that emotional thing is what I live for, so sue me :)

It was my first live season too!

It was between Dog Dean Afternoon and The Purge. I actually did rewatch The Purge recently (while elliptical gliding) and yeah, it has its moments. Also, I agree with you about Sam's speech at the end. However, I voted for DDA because Dean is so cute when he fetches and barks. Also, GoT taxidermy.

How could I forget the taxidermy!

I made a mistake I voted for Dog Dean Afternoon but wanted to vote for Do You Believe in Miracles :((

Managed to change my vote by hitting the back arrow :)

figures out pretty quickly that the way to Dean's heart is through Sam's skin--I like that.

Surprised that Dog Dean Afternoon made the list, I don't remember anything more positive than an "it was ok I laughed a couple times" reaction when it aired. Maybe it grows on you with rewatching?

I don't know if it grows on you. I think it's one of those that either you like it, or you don't, and nothing's gonna change that.

I seem to be in the minority but I loved Season 9 and have re-watched every ep a few times now.

The Purge is my fav for all the reasons you mention: Ahhhhh YogaSam!!! best Sam work out scene since the Infamous S6 shirtless SoulessSam one and stoned Dean and him being told not to hit on the trainer (hehehe) but it's Sam's speech at the end that gets all my Kudos. Can remember fist-pumping at how direct and honest Sam was (something Dean sorely lacked during the whole Gadreel debacle)

This was difficult. While there were some strong moments in each episode (YOGA!SAM!), I'm not sure that any of them are memorable strong episodes compared to other seasons etc. In the end I went with Blade Runners, because that's the episode I remember the most (and I also really liked Cuthbert Sinclair).
