Crowley didn't have access to his powers, for some reason, out of his old vessel (or is that his original body?) and so he needed the people to bleed so he could make a bowl-o-blood-phone to call his little henchmen.

I just loved the orgy. Those people were too cute. And Crowley is such a hedonist.
