What I want to know is exactly how the Darkness "saved" Dean when Sam wasn't hurt inside the car, so Dean probably wouldn't have been either. Unless she saved him from the repercussions of killing Death...? But nah, it smacks of lies to me.

I hope they find a cure for the Darkness. Sam deserves a win and since he wants to cure the Darkness, this could be his one and possibly only win for the season.
Deputy Fox was awesome and spunky at the beginning and got relevated to Helpless Young Woman With Baby pretty quickly. We never got to see her neck, did we? Awesome poll, as usual. 8-)

I love both Cas and Crowley but I really don't want any more Angel or demon story lines. It's interesting that both Angel and demon minions dress and act like Mormon missionaries - which is apt as they are as bland and dull! Unless it's Lucifer and Michael, I'm not interested!
Am I being uncharitable to wonder whether Dean was so concerned to save the baby because it was a baby . . . or because he knew it was The Darkness? We still don't know how his 'conversation' with her ended . . . maybe he's feeling the thrall of a new relationship :P
I thought Dean was saving the baby girl because she was a defenseless baby until I saw The Mark, then I wondered if he felt compelled to save her. Interesting!
It does seem a bit sus. I know he's got the MOC off his own arm now, but he hasn't been that motivated to save anyone in years. I know it's a baby, but still . . .

They weren't swingers - they were talking orgy, as in "WE will be gentle - not!" - that was adorable and way too cliche to kill them "for it". I do wonder how the minions knew Crowley had sex with them first and that it was an orgy. Did he keep them on the phone during, or - ?

Filling in the blank on I like my season openers to be more ... Sense-making. Dean was right when he wanted to kill the whatevers. Sam should have realized that before he got himself infected. I mean, they're going to die anyway! Carver could have come up with a more believable way to separate the boys and endanger Sam, if he tried.
One thing I thought they did quite well was depicting each boy's memory of the way the darkness came in and the immediate aftermath. A gajillion times better than Sam's Season 8 flashbacks, and not just because a certain woman who didn't deserve Sam wasn't in them.
I am sick to fucking death of both angels and demons.
i like the ep but i also found the cop to be just a bit too perky and fresh. Also,if she were real she would have asked for both the winchester's mob numbers.
Crowley didn't have access to his powers, for some reason, out of his old vessel (or is that his original body?) and so he needed the people to bleed so he could make a bowl-o-blood-phone to call his little henchmen.
I just loved the orgy. Those people were too cute. And Crowley is such a hedonist.
That I do not know. Maybe his access to them is somehow tied to his vessel? Or, since the spell Rowena put on him was still in effect, that somehow made it so he couldn't use them/most of them. Not really sure.
