It's a very Supernatural Christmas in July!

It's July, so naturally my local craft and hobby store is full of Christmas decorations. I was walking through the other day and spotted these ornaments:

and thought, that looks like something for a Winchester-themed Christmas tree! So I continued shopping and found a few more things...

More plaid, of course.

And some majestic moose. (Yeah, I know one of those is supposed to be a reindeer, but it's close enough.)

There were also plenty of adorable squirrels.

And a black car. Not an Impala, but still.

How about a gun?

And, of course, angel wings.

Really, the only thing this tree needs is some shotgun shell lights. I didn't see them at my store, but I'm sure they exist... ah, yes. Here you go.

Just add a custom tree topper and you're all set.

Also, not exactly holiday-related, but absolutely Winchester-related... my store happened to have these two items together. It can't be a coincidence.

I can't post the whole thing to Tumblr now that I can't host pics on Photobucket (shakes angry fist at PB and Tumblr mobile) but I do think imma have to post that last pic; it's too perfectly Sam.

That last pic is so Sam that I'm seriously wondering who is the fangirl responsible! XD

Hmmm, why do you need the pics on Photobucket, when you can just upload them directly from your harddrive? (when making a Tumblr text post, you can click the little picture icon to upload & insert a photo directly.)

You can upload multiple pics but you can't put text between them. Or maybe I'm just too old and slow to figure it out.

(Speaking of slow, I just realized when I went to look for your Tumblr handle that I hadn't friended you on LJ!!! How did that happen??? I guess I read enough of your comments that I thought I was seeing your posts?)

On Tumblr on the computer (might not work in Tumblr mobile?) if you're writing a text post, you can write a bit of text, then hit enter, and you'll get a little popup with options (it's how you make cuts?) One of the options is a little camera icon, which allows you to upload a photo. Then you can keep typing.

(Ahahah I actually don't post on lj/dw like at all these days -- I don't even know if I've posted that I am on dreamwidth? keep meaning to, but...it's ironic, I love lj comments, hence me stalking your journal...but posting is hard.)

(My tumblrs are xparrot (http://xparrot.tumblr.com/) for general stuff, while idontneedasymbol (http://idontneedasymbol.tumblr.com/) is my SPN sideblog (as most of my friends on my main tumblr are not SPN fans, some pretty vehemently so, and I post a lot, so....)

Dear god, I didn't have your Tumblr either. I suck.

Anyway, yeah, Tumblr mobile doesn't work that way. It acts like you can do that, but you can't. Also, it forces your pics into the format it wants (1/2/3 per row). It sucks too.

Hee, more like social media is hard! I'm just happy my random ranting on your lj hasn't made you want to block me everywhere forever XD

argh that sucks about Tumblr mobile! (I only read Tumblr on my phone myself, I do all my posting on my computer, saving posts as drafts for reblogging with tags.)
