Have I told you lately how much I love "Reichenbach?"

I mean, this entire episode is magnificent, if you skip the Cas & Hannah nonsense. Fucking magnificent. But I'm watching it right now on TNT and I keep replaying my favorite little bits:


1. When Crowley asks Sam if he missed him and sad, broken, battered Sam pulls the demon blade out (flashing some skin even) and quietly says "So much."

2. When Dean tells Sam "I'm doing all I can not to come over there and rip your throat out. With my teeth."

2b. The way his tongue rests behind his teeth right after he says that. He does it in Soul Survivor too. It kills me dead.

3. When Dean asks if Sam really thinks those handcuffs are going to work, and Sam (again quiet and broken but not giving up) says "There's one way to find out."

4. At the end, in the car, when Sam is clearly feeling relieved and hopeful, and Dean yanks that rug right out from under him, and Sam does the jaw thing.



I mean, DAMN.

Honorable mention: mocking the puppy dog eyes, taunting Angry Little Cole, your tiniest umbrella, "what I'm gonna do to you Sammy," Sam's hurt reaction to everything, the single upraised finger and "you don't have to do this..."

Soul Survivor is up next. This sick day might just be the end of me.

OMG yes...the demon!Dean arc was over way too fast but what we got was so glorious, for both of them (season 10 is far from flawless, but oh it pushes my buttons hard, Dean wrestling with darkness, Sam so, so determined to save him...)

Also demon!Dean is incandescently hot, the way he plays with Cole, gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah...

I love that episode. I feel it doesn't get the credit it deserves because so many people didn't like season 10 as a whole.

It's a shame, because Black/Reichenbach/Soul Survivor/Fan Fiction are just so damn good. Such a strong start to the season.

I always assume that Sam's s10 hair is proof that Dean cuts it for him, only they didn't risk getting a blade that close to Sam's neck when Dean was Marked up... (makes it at least a little better for me ;)

I loved this episode! "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Demon Dean was a great Dean. I'll bet Jensen was pissed they stopped it early for the 100th episode. It was such a great concept.
