In which I have a bad memory and an even worse imagination

Going through my s13 episode recaps for the s13 wrap-up poll reminded me of so many wonderful things I'd forgotten. I know this season fell short in some ways, but in other ways it was marvelous, and for some reason, many of them slipped my mind. Dean being unable to breathe in "Good Intentions," and reaching out to Sam, and Sam yanking him out of the dungeon and pawing at him in the hallway? Dean patting at Sam's "Disney princess hair," and Sam shaking him off, in "A Most Holy Man?" Sam trying SO HARD to be nice to Dean in "Advanced Thanatology," and the story about him trying to talk a stripper into going to nursing school? These things are gold.

(You know what isn't gold? I forgot to add Dean's death to the questions about character deaths. Even though I mentioned it in a different question. I feel like an idiot."

And I was also reminded to two mytharc-related things. One was actually near the end of the season, in "Unfinished Business," when the Trickster tells Gabriel that he lived for nothing, and he'll die for nothing. Considering that he died buying the Winchesters time to go through the rift, and they just stood there and watched him die instead of going through the rift, I think it's fair to say that prophecy was accurate.

The other is this graffiti we saw in "The Bad Place." (There be spoilers ahead if you somehow don't know how s13 ended.)

In my episode recap, I figured it signified something, and guessed that the bird might be Lucifer, Cas, or Jack. You know what I missed? The guy on the very left side of the art. Who is obviously Dean Winchester.

I mean, come on.

They spelled it all out right here. The guy with short hair and a fucking halo is Dean. The bird's blue feathers are Michael's power, since his eyes glow blue. The yellow birds being scattered are Lucifer. How did I miss this?

Anyway. Speaking of Dean's halo... (no spoilers ahead!)

Yesterday at lunch I watched "On the Head of a Pin." Guys. Season 4. The golden years. I mean, I love the show now, you know I do. But season 4? With Sammy sucking down demon blood and banging Ruby, and Dean falling apart, and Cas so horrified at what Sam was capable of, and Uriel's disdain for humans in general and Sam Winchester in particular, and godDAMN the boys are so young and pretty and Misha was a beautiful man and Cas was a fascinating, multidimensional character and I see why people fell in love with the little treetopper.

I've always thought this shot of Cas looking up at Uriel is one of the most beautiful shots of the show. The lighting, his expression, his early fluffy hair...

And as for my bad imagination...

Last night I dreamed an episode of Supernatural. It was a bad one. It involved cursed appliances that shocked people. It was basically a Buckleming episode. In the dream, The Husband was watching it with me, and I was embarrassed that I enjoyed such an awful show. I'm disappointed in myself. How can I complain about the writers when this is what my head comes up with?
