Whiplash warning

Today TNT is showing “Carry On,” followed immediately by the Pilot. I wonder if my heart can take it.

Not a combination for the faint-hearted O_O

Ouch. That's too much for me.

I am visiting my sister and her husband next month (now that we're all vaccinated), and they watched the first... say, 8-10 seasons of SPN before calling it quits. They are NOT fannish souls and have no idea what shipping is and that sort of thing. They are open to watching a limited number of eps when we're together. I'm tempted to just offer them a re-watch of the pilot followed immediately by Carry On, and skipping the rest. (Because I think it's too hard to choose just one or two other ones!).

What do you think? Is there a better plan? (If they've never seen Red Meat, I'm tempted to slip that in there, but I don't know if that would just be a selfish wallow for me. Would that diminish Carry On, if they were just going to see 2 or 3 eps?) Thoughts, anyone?

I don’t know if Carry On would be a good choice. I think a MotW, not a big story arc episode, would be better. Red Meat, of course. Scoobynatural would be an excellent choice. What about Mint Condition or Regarding Dean?

Thanks! You're right that they would love Scoobynatural ... I did make them watch that the last time I saw them. That was before the series ended, of course. Now, they do want to see the finale; they want to see how it ends. But I think one or two in between the pilot and finale might be worth considering.

I agree with your thoughts that something not too big-story-arc would be better. Those season finales were some of their better eps in the latter seasons, but there would be too much confusion about what's going on. Regarding Dean might be a good choice. (Besides Red Meat.) I'm now also considering Baby, Just My Imagination, and Lebanon. Hmmm.... decisions, decisions.... Thanks!
