I think SPN has been pretty good about finding actual mythologies and massaging them a bit to make them into logical puzzles (solvable cases), or just to make the story fresh, or give an old legend a spin or origin.
I keep wanting to write a review of last night, and it keeps being an exploration of the episode's treatment of fat people. But if I can drag myself away from that, I'll think about this possible tag.
