Hah, that coda -- I think half the reason it didn't happen is that given where Sam is emotionally right now, he's not that interested in saving himself. Also it's been forever since Dean got to rescue Sam from anything, it was his turn! But it could've gone like that, yeah...

This was one of my bigger questions -- she didn't make any comment at the gas station that implied she was running away from home or something. Why kidnap a young woman who would very likely have a family coming looking for her? Weird choice. (Would've made more sense if they vary the auctions and were specifically looking for a young woman, missed or not, that they could easily grab?)
I also couldn't figure out if Clegg was actually FBI or was he faking it too?
But depressed Sam and caring & domestic Dean made it all worthwhile! (also Sam tied up in a white dress shirt -- that's a new look for him, right? Very nice...) So hoping this keeps up and is an arc rather than dropped after this ep. It ended so unresolved, they have to come back to it, right???
