Archangel blades don't kill the human vessel? Since when? If any of the showmakers actually watched the show they might recall that Crowley put extra mojo on the Nick vessel when he brought him back to make it more or less invincible so Lucifer's grace wouldn't burn it up like it did before. That would have been a far more convincing reason why the archangel blade didn't kill him. But, you know, continuity.
It's possible that Nick's a plot device not to bring Lucifer back, but to provide an alternate vessel for Michael when they get him out of Dean - because I don't think Jensen's gonna be not!Dean for very long, but I do think Michael's gonna continue to be the big bad for season 14.
And BTW, how come the only 80s band you don't rock is an AUSSIE ICON?! (Southern hemisphere contingent shout "BOO!" "Hemispherist Bullshit!" "Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi Oi Oi" "Pass us a stubby, mate" from the backseat.
