4/ In fairness to the writers (can't believe I'm defending Buckleming!) I think the coroner, and all things coronery, was supposed to be dumb. Show seems to perceive Duluth, and the Duluth m.e's office in particular, as lacking smarts and efficiency. (As you pointed out, Buckleming thinks it's half a comedian).
