OK, where to start. First of all, I've missed you! I've been neglecting my fanly duties because I'm going through a massive knitting phase.
Halloween: Dean shouldn't be asking. It was an obvious set up for the stupid story. And if Sam really wanted to express his distaste for Halloween, he could have brought up either (a) almost getting killed by Samhain, (b) it reminds him of the last time he saw Jessica, or (c) he'd rather not see scary things on his night off. Or (d), all of the above. I'm not in love with this trope of Sam as being an awkward teen afraid of girls.
The beard: Sam should have been clean-shaven for Dean's line to work. And I love Sam's beautiful baby face! Sidenote: Alex Calvert has posted some hot instas of himself with scruff, and I just keep thinking, "but Jack's not old enough to grow a beard!"
I have to rewatch the episode. I missed the cat videos! And I saw Dean switch the mugs but I guess I hadn't looked at the mugs, because I didn't know why.
