To power down a nephilim, who is canonically more powerful than his archangel parent? So when the Winchesters were trying to take down Lucifer and AU Michael, all they needed was some yarrow root and ground jawbone? And the answers were all right here in the bunker?
I had this EXACT same reaction!!!
Best part of the episode was the expression on Dean's face when he saw the Christmas tree. But I clearly got the feeling that someone in the writers' room said 'Let's have the boys celebrate all the holidays the fans like to write about' and they made a half-assed story around that visual and forgot to have the boys be smart because having fun makes them dumb. And wow, they changed Mrs. Butters mind awfully easily at the end...
What I really want to know is what they were hunting that required Thor's Hammer and the grenade launcher. I'd sort of think something that required firepower that heavy might have had its own story?
