Okay, that makes sense. I got the impression too that there were things going on behind the scenes that led to her leaving. I feel to the show’s detriment. I liked Gamble and agree with her wanting to write Cas out of the show. I liked him in earlier seasons, but the need to keep writing things for him to do since S7 has dragged the narrative down.
I personally love S6, and there were things I liked about S7, like Frank. (I know X-Files Lone Gunmen clone, but fun, and so much early SPN was X-Files inspired.) I think that sort of change of horses midstream was part of its weakness. I’d love to know what Gamble had planned.
While I had high hopes for Carver, I couldn’t have been more disappointed. I’ve never enjoyed the show as much as I did since S6.
