Banged and Bedazzled

Second, I'm signing up for my first Big Bang, except mine will probably be a mini bang, so I guess I should say my first bang of any kind. But I'm kind of excited and kind of nervous. Best case scenario: an amazing artist falls in love with my story and feels compelled to illustrate every scene. Worst case scenario: no one picks my story at all. Third, the movie Bedazzled is on right now. It's the 2000 remake, not the 1967 original, which is one of my favorite movies of all time. I love the Deal With the Devil trope in which the Devil always gives you, technically, exactly what you asked for, but it's never what you actually wanted.
For example, hapless Stanley asks the Devil to make him intelligent and sophisticated so his crush Margaret will fall in love with him. The Devil complies, but he also makes Margaret frigid. So Stanley's next wish is that she be passionate, but he neglects to specify her passion should be for him. Anyway, it's a wonderful movie, and Peter Cook rivals Mark Pellegrino for the most loveable Lucifer ever.
And now I really want Supernatural to examine this. They've kind of skirted around the edges of it, but I want them to jump in head first. Like, what if the crossroads demon brought Sam back to life in AHBL2, but he was brain dead from oxygen deprivation, because Dean forgot to specify that he wanted him not only alive, but healthy?
Fourth, you know what makes me happy? When Carry On Wayward Son comes on the radio. You know what makes me really happy? When we're in my husband's car, and it comes on because he has it on his iPhone, and my teenager in the back takes out her earbuds and drops whatever she was listening to so she can sing along with us. That's a good feeling. :-)
