This was amazing, and SO MUCH BETTER than what happened in canon! Thank you thank you thank you for having Sam explain the difference between self-sacrifice/acceptance of death and being suicidal, because it's important and something that a lot of people don't seem to register. And man, if I hadn't been on the bus I might have punched the air in triumph when Sam told Dean that, no, Dean DOESN'T know what it's like. And Dean finally apologized, and just . . . EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS PERFECT OK.
