Ha ha, love your review. I am not sure if Rowena was a hallucination or not either. And you're right: *whispers* the episode did seem Sam!centric. What magic is this? Two weeks in a row! It's like we're finally getting the POV that we've been clamouring for, and it's too good to be true, so we're tiptoeing around it.

I had the same thought about the blood in the basin, but I chalked it up to the fact that the basin is probably just wider and deeper than it looked, with a raised center. Or, maybe, you know, it absorbs blood or something. Anything is possible. But, but, the reverse season 4/ 5 happening here is too. much. (Sam trying to stop Dean from going to hell/ becoming an angel versus now, trying to stop him from being a demon. Sam working with Ruby versus Rowena. Trying to kill Lilith versus Crowley. Taking in demon blood versus nearly bleeding out. Dean's 'we're weak together, we're each other's Achilles heel' versus his 'we're stronger together'. I like!)
