Thank you for pointing out all the in-jokes and the motel theme thing! I totally missed all of that!
That final scene just gutted me, cuz I kept thinking of Sam in Season 4 worrying about Dean not being strong enough, and Sam taking on the job of killing Lilith all by himself (and how well that turned out...) So as much as I loved the supportive, nonjudgmental brother thing, I'm terrified of what Sam will do now that he thinks he has to solve the Amara problem all by himsel?!
Maybe I'm just freaking out too much...Take me back to the other stuff you said about how wonderful this episode was because I TOTALLY BELIEVE THAT! I DO!
