Okay, so when I watched the ep I thought Mary stole two things: the Colt and the glowy thing that was probably a soul. Now, I'm starting to think she only stole one thing - the Colt, and that the reference to Pulp Fiction was really just that heavy handed.
Apparently there are glowy things in Reservoir Dogs. Who knew. I was just puzzled that she'd stolen something that glowed like a SPN Hand of God type item only to have it turn out to be the previously never-glowy Colt. I was going to say that souls have always glowed white previously, but - see my previous point about the previously un-glowy Colt.
The moment the time is up we see Mary opening her mouth and moving forward cut to Dean who steps up and starts talking. I thought that was obvious, but now I read all the other viewers missed that!
I'm glad I'm not the only one! I hadn't thought that she might be referring to the Cas as the friend - poor Wally!!!! Hmmmmmm, now I'm not sure what she meant?!
