I couldn't figure out why Crowley would be so stupid as to keep Lucifer around, for the ongoing problem of the loyalists if for no other reason. But Pellegrino!Lucifer—he's a powerful psychological weapon against the Winchesters (and Sam in particular). And maybe even against Rowena. IDK.
So much of this episode was just plain DUMB. I enjoyed your poll, except there was so much to dislike. However, one of my nicknames for my dog is "The Face", so Jeff cracked up when I told him about it.
I can see her side - they're successful, and as far as she knows, Toni Bevell wasn't a loose canon and the rest of them aren't evil I'm assuming you meant Toni WAS a loose cannon.
I couldn't come up with an answer to the family feud question, because I'm hoping it isn't Sam and Dean vs Mary and that there is no Winchester family feud. However, Rowena suddenly deciding to get revenge on Crowley came out of nowhere for me. I never believed she loved Oskar that much, I pretty much felt that in the end she killed Osker to gain power and I never felt like she was mourning him. Frankly I didn't even remember Oskar, so that was one piec of exposition that I appreciated. Basically when Rowena started with "do you remember Oskar" I said "no".
This episode was a mess, although I was expecting so much worse from these writers that I enjoyed it more than I would have just out of relief. I really wish Eugenie would decide she wants to retire and takes Brad with her.
I'm really stuck on Crowley having dropped a few dozen IQ points here. I mean, we already know that de-powering an angel is as simple as slitting its throat and whipping out the grace, so if he's really determined to keep Lucifer around just to poke at him, why not... do that? o.O
I wonder if Crowley is just bored and lonely? Maybe he wants to re-learn some truly evil behaviour from Lucifer? Maybe he really wants to learn to hate the Winchester's more? I don't know, but it's sure going to bite him in the ass. Regarding the vessel, I can take a bit of hand waving if it means that we get Mark P back as Lucifer.
I don't want to see a family feud between Mary and the boys, but maybe it could bring them together and closer, lead to some talks about the past and what the brothers have been through. But I do like the idea of Mary not being what we all expected; Mother Mary. She's actually a hardened hunter underneath it all, and seeing the boys as men and not children has maybe brought that to the surface.
