Really stupid conversations I have with myself

ALSO ME: But won't that help people guess which one you wrote?

ME: What do you mean?

ALSO ME: If you don't comment on one, won't people guess it's yours? And isn't some of the fun of summergen trying to figure out who wrote what?

ME: Are you really conceited enough to think anyone's going to notice which posts you comment on?

ALSO ME: Um.

ME: We all know the reason you don't comment is because you're lazy, and because you hate typing on your phone. Admit it, and don't pretend it's from some altruistic desire to not provide clues on who wrote what.

ALSO ME: ...

ME: And you really need to repaint your toenails.

ALSO ME: You're bossy. And short.

ME: Right back atcha, sweetheart.

Sounds all too familiar!!! But it doesn't stop me from commenting simply because I get way too excited by all the gen fics and yummy art and vids and I can't help myself!

I always start out thinking I'm going to comment on every Summergen fic, but realistically there will always be ones I don't finish. I've had these thoughts too, but I agree with "ME" that it would be very difficult to notice who comments on what and deduce what you wrote because of that. And it wouldn't even matter that much if they could. :-) It's all in good fun.

That said, I'm pretty sure I already know who wrote one of the fics, and looking at those little clues and guessing IS part of the fun! So, if you're worried about people guessing something from your comments, just think of it as providing more fun.

I'd like to see your comments on the fics! But I'm sure your toenails are fine. ;-)

Paint your toenails! BUT ALSO COMMENT. You can dooooo ittttt. <33333 In the past, people have totally guessed me as the author of fics I didn't write, and in fact commented on. XD I tend to notice who comments on what, because I'm a weird neurotic mod, but I mostly only register those people who comment frequently on many of the fanworks because they have a very very warm space in my heart. <3333

I should clarify that it's an internal argument over commenting now vs later, not about commenting at all.
