The universe has been trying to tell me something. Friday I caught an episode of The X-Files called "Bad Blood," which naturally pinged my SPN radar because it was produced by Kim Manners, it involved vampires, it included Mitch Pileggi, and some of it was set in a cemetery that has to be the one used for Stull Cemetery.

Also, it's a fantastic episode, and Luke Wilson is a hoot, and you should watch it if you get the chance. You don't have to be an X-Files watcher to appreciate it.

Later that day I was scrolling through the TV listings and something else came up - I don't remember if it was a movie, or an episode of a different TV show, but it was also called "Bad Blood." And Saturday morning I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts (My Favorite Murder) and they talked about a book called Bad Blood. And I said okay, universe, I get it. You want me to rewatch the SPN episode "Bad Blood."

Except... That episode doesn't exist. I was sure it did. In my head, "Bad Blood" was the episode where Sam kills Gordon Walker. But no, that one's called "Fresh Blood." So I kept looking. We've got "Dead Man's Blood" and "Bloody Mary" and "First Blood" and "Bloodlust" and various other blood-related titles but no Bad Blood, and (1) why did I think we had one, and (b) how do we not have one? How have they missed such an obvious title?

So now I have to figure out what the universe is trying to tell me. Maybe I have undiagnosed syphilis. Maybe I'm just supposed to listen to Neil Sedaka.

Is this song stuck in your head now? Welcome to my nightmare.

And now, since I'm having poll withdrawal...

Bad Blood is one of my favorite X-Files episodes, it was so funny and so quirky. And that definitely looks like Stull Cemetery . It could very well be, since the X-Files was also filmed in Vancouver. Actually in the newest season of the show they filmed in the same location that SPN used in a couple of season 13 epidodes (that abandoned shipyard), and that really tickled me.

Maybe you were doing a mash-up of Fresh Blood and Born Under a Bad Sign in your head?

Nah, you're definitely a prophet. Possibly. Probably? It'll be really awesome if they do end up having an episode titled Bad Blood in season 14.

Yes, I figure it has to be the same cemetery, since they're both filmed in Vancouver. That's cool about the shipyard - you mean the one from the Kaia episode?

And yes, when the prophecy is fulfilled, I will not let anyone forget it.

Yes, the shipyard from the Kaia episodes.

I'm totally waiting for the prophecy to be fulfilled, LOL.

There are probably lots of locations used by both shows. I haven't rewatched the original run of the X-Files in over fifteen years so it's hard to remember specific places, but I'm pretty sure they filmed in that abandoned hospital that SPN used for Asylum and In My Time of Dying, too.

Yes, I know the one you mean and they definitely have! I also think there's also been a repeat of some sort of dam which was on Simon Said - I think that was also on Smallville. It's a fun game to play!

I could have swore it was a episode too! I think it means you need to write a fic with the title bad Blood... :)

You missed the best version of "Bad Blood", in my opinion - the awesome industrial song by Ministry (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DyIIS-jCpE)! So much better than Taylor Swift or Neal Sedaka.

Also, thanks for bringing up that episode of the X-Files... made me want to rewatch more of the good ones, and now I find out that Fox has them all streaming for free on its website!
