I don't know if anybody's in the mood to think about Walker today, but I need to talk about something other than {ahem} prequelgate, so let's just share some brief thoughts, not a whole recap.

  • Walker's bar is open at breakfast? Is it a bar or a restaurant? I mean, it doesn't have a cook so it can't be a restaurant, right?

  • I'm just stretching! (Oh yes you are, baby. Do it some more.)

  • Augie discovers that all the girls like some h/c.

  • Grandpa Walker would rather die than experience impotence, lack of desire, and rectal/bladder pain. Wuss. Gramma Walker doesn't care about any of that, since she can get her needs met elsewhere.

  • Okay, I guess Connie isn't in HR, but she does clearly have a crush on Cordell. And who can blame her?

  • Is this group leader the actress who played Kurt Russell's wife in Tombstone? Is she getting the money to pay for her laudanum?

  • Oh, Citizen Cordell Walker, do not go breaking into people's houses. What evidence are you hoping to find four years later? What does the A/C being off have to do with anything? And don't park in the perp's house and casually go through her stuff. Also. Fingerprints. However, your lockpicking skills are giving me serious Sam Winchester feels, so I appreciate that. And I do like you hopping up after you look under the bed.

  • Oh, look, Bela Talbott got a new show. (Yes, I'm watching through the app which means commercials.)

  • Teenage drama. Don't care. But after the last few weeks it's nice that something is happening with Augie.

  • "My addiction is breaking the rules" is almost as corny as "danger is my middle name." Oh, god, this whole scene with the victims dramatically walking in is just cringey.

  • No, seriously, what's the deal with the A/C?

  • Love these Pinterest-ready rustic distressed lockers.

  • Liam, you need to decide on your facial hair situation. The scruff works for a hunter, not for a wannabe district attorney.

  • Grandpa, you might be foolin' Gramma, but you are not fooling me for a second, Your reluctance has nothing to do with not wanting to take up her time and energy. It's all about your wiener. And maybe your bunghole.

  • How convenient that Cordell is sitting by the fire with his bottle of whiskey and two glasses, just waiting for Micki and Liam to show up unexpectedly.

And that's it! Not much drama, and unlike real life {ahem}, no “The French Mistake” references this time…

"Civilian" Walker getting arrested for trespassing--that's not going to have any effect when he wants to resume rangering, is it.

I don't get what the fans/air conditioning had to do with finding the letters--unless that was a fake air conditioner they were hiding in??? (Also who leaves 4 fans circulating when they are not home? Do regular people do this? Because I always turn off everything including the ceiling fan when I am gone all day. But maybe I'm just a weird energy conservationist.)

The more these people talk, the more I appreciate Dean's 'no chick flick' rule. Who is writing this dialog? Teenagers?

But the bigger question is why do I keep watching??? I should have grasped by now that it's not suddenly going to get better...

PS Prequelgate did resolve itself, or at least J2 tweeted that they'll always be brothers even through bumps in the road.

I don’t know that an arrest with no charges will actually show up on his record. It’s not supposed to be an issue - don’t job applications specifically ask if you’ve been convicted of a crime, rather than arrested?

And no, normal people don’t leave table fans running when they’re gone. I might forget to turn off a ceiling fan, and I like to think of myself as normal, but not table fans.

Yes, I know the drama is “resolved” publicly. I’m not particularly satisfied about that, but it’s none of my business, so…

But when you get arrested, aren't there usually things like charges and a trial which, even if not convicted, are going to take time to go through the court system? Need to be explained if you are resuming a job in going after other criminals?

Except of course in Walkerworld...where you get arrested for being on the outside of abandoned property, thrown behind bars so your partner can mock you, and then released and it never is mentioned again...

“Arrested” literally means “brought in for questioning.” If you’re arrested and questioned, and it’s determined there isn’t enough evidence to charge you with anything, I’m pretty sure that doesn’t follow you.

Ah, okay, so I can get arrested but if the charges are dropped I can go home with no worries.

So I assume the charges against Walker were dropped because there was no one at the abandoned house to press charges.

There wouldn’t have to be residents at the house to press charges, but due to a lot of factors (especially privilege and the fact that Connie obviously has the hots for him) the police could simply choose not to charge him.
