I actually really, really, really wanted Dean to kill Sam (as awful and terrible as that would be), because we know Sam would come back somehow and it would make for some delicious Winchester angst next season. But whatever. We get the swarmy black demon cloud instead.

Yes. I wanted Dean to kill Sam, not because I wanted Sam dead (god no) but because I wanted Dean full of guilt and angst, and I wanted Sam scared and hurting, and yes I know there's something wrong with me but I've come to terms with it.
