I don't know where that Amelia clip came from but it must have been unused footage I reckon, because Sam did have the long fluffy hair. Unless that was (oh sacrilege) CGI'd fluffy hair.

OK, on the Amelia scene (and how I hated seeing her again), I think it might have been an outtake. Just a guess, but it seems like a possibility. I didn't examine Sam's hair enough to make a more educated guess; I don't want to watch Amelia eps any more than necessary.

The screaming in the Stull flashback was weird.

I wish the Funko Pop wasn't used. It marred the scene for me. Too meta when it wasn't really called for.

Why is the redhead : other color hair population ratio on SPN about 1,000,000 times greater than in real life? And why do they keep getting killed?

I loved Sam in the ep. It made me feel proud to be a Samgirl. :)

Yeah, I've noticed that about the redheads. The Funko Pop didn't bother me the way other meta (like the books) dies because it was a dream sequence, and there's no reason Crowley couldn't dream up a Sam action figure.

This episode made me angry on so many levels, but I really loved Sam's outgoing voice mail message. That was awesome.

Amelia flashback: I don't think it was a new scene because I don't think Jared liked the actress, wouldn't want to work with her again and didn't want to work with her the first time. Just a theory :P I think it came from the cutting room floor . . . unless it was a new scene with Jared wearing hair extensions.

Is Rowena really the only one who could put Lucifer back in the cage?:

If they wanted to give Misha a chance to play the big villain of the season they should have run with him as the half crazed Leviathan "boss" when they had the chance instead of going with Dick. That would have been fun. His impression of Mark Pellegrino is cringingly similar to his impression of Dean from the s10 outtakes.

I had to pick 'loved it' and 'hated it', because I loved about 85% of it, and spent the rest staring at my screen going 'NO. STUPID.' (And I mean, I think I'm pretty well inured to stupid on the show most of the time.)

Also, why did Lucifer just snap Rowena's neck instead of... I don't know, doing something to destroy her soul? Because now she'll just become a demon, so all he's done is give her a reason to work against him. (I should probably stop looking for logic here, right?)

Sam did tell Dean at least once that he thought Dean was dead, so he wasn't not looking for him when he believed he was alive. All I want is a flashback to the actual agreement. It's so easy to fix. "We're going into the Leviathan Stronghold with a weapon we know nothing about. If we get separated, whoever has the chance needs to take out Dick Roman. If that happens we'll meet in the usual place (first motel in the phone book, if my memory serves). You know if I'm alive, I'll find you. DON'T come looking in the rubble, who knows what traps the Leviathan may have left." And BaddaBing, BaddaBoom Sam not looking makes more sense than it has.

When I first saw the Colin Ford flashback I was initially struck with disappointment that they weren't able to use season 1 Sam, which is...young Jared Padalecki, which I suppose isn't fair of me?? haha. oops.

If Rowena sold her would to become a witch, she wouldn't immediately become a demon; she'd go on the rack first. Being tortured by one of Alastair's star pupils would be worse than anything Crowley could come up with. Crowley is wicked and creative, but he's not as proficient in torture as Alastair..
