People with PTSD are monsters, they got it from "them", and FFS there were several worms in Kit's stomach I hope the hammer wielding douchbag's wife can handle a hose.

Hated this ep (but not enough to kill myself), hate Cole, no one calls Sam Sammy and gets away with it but Dean ever, hate Jenny's writing, hate the disrespectful treatment of crazy people, and yay some torture porn and racism for fun. O ne of my least favorite eps.

I see what you're saying about the racism but I didn't take it that way. I mean, the US is obviously chock full of monsters. It doesn't seem racist to suggest they'd be in other countries as well. The torture porn was disturbing.

I liked this episode for what it was, although I need Tiny Crazed Marine to spontaneously combust/drive his truck off a cliff/be decapitated by Sam when TCM turns into a monster. BTW, if Dean never saw the monster before, how does he know TCM won't become a monster? Oh, wait, that goes along with the BLACK COWLED GUY WE SAW IN THE FIRST EP OF S8 AND NEVER SAW AGAIN...shhhh, don't think about continuity, shhhh

AND WHY DIDN'T WE GET TO SEE SAM SHOOT KIT AND GET BLOOD ALL OVER HIMSELF AND BE COMPLETELY FREAKED OUT BECAUSE HE MIGHT HAVE TO KILL DEAN? IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK? IS IT????

You know, I marked Meh about this episode, but actually, I really didn't like it. Why do so many of show's current writers not take obvious stuff seriously? Like "Sammy"? WTF, remember Gordon? And it's totally OK to torture Sam these days, everyone's been doing it since season 5.

And would it have killed anyone to make Dean at least take off his overshirt?

I don't have a single complaint, probably because it looked so amazing it broke my brain. And I like Cole, that definitely helps. Everyone complains the shows lost it's look and it's been so long that I forgot Kripke always wanted his show to look like a movie. The cinematic look (thanks Kim Manners) is what made it stand out on TV and it's been missing. This episode brought it back and I loved it.

Episodes like this are advantage horror fan. It hasn't been called a horror show in years but I love when they go there, it's what got me into the show.

I did not like the episode, but it was a Jenny Klein episode and I kind of expected to be offended. And I wasn't disappointed, but I'll leave it at that. At least there were no angels.

And I'm not sure which I enjoy more - angry little Cole, or you talking about angry little Cole. Either way, it makes my heart happy to see him on screen.

I'm finding that there are certain things about certain writers that I just know will either make or break an episode for me. Like Jenny Klein wrote "A Rock And A Hard Place," which I found deeply offensive - but which also gave us some important Sam lines. So I won't usually skip her episodes, but I go in knowing that there's going to be some material that will get my dander up and try to manage my expectations.

I know that watching an Adam Glass episode will just make me angry. So I skip them.

By contrast, I'll watch a Robert Berens episode even if the plot is something that I care about less than I care about the statistics class I took fifteen years ago. I'll watch his episodes even if they're full of angel stuff, because he can make even angels interesting.
