You know the real reason why Cas couldn't catch Metatron? Because he called Sam, wanting to know what to do, since he can't do anything without Sam holding his hand, and Sam was too busy stabbing Jacob Styne to answer the call. :)

First, thanks for the birthday shout-out!

Re "Behind Blue Eyes," I have mixed feelings about both the song and the scene, and oddly enough (or not), they're both gullet-related. I like the song but have always had an issue with the lines "If I swallow anything evil / Put your finger down my throat" because, yuck! And along the same vein, I do not love seeing Dean do the full-on, open-mouthed belly laugh. It never strikes me as genuine and it hurts his pretty.

Prediction for the season end: Lucifer! Because Metatron hinted at it. I wouldn't mind if they let Adam out of the cage as well, except he'd probably be super insane from having been in it for so long. That would make for an interesting Season 11 Big Bad, though!

I will miss your polls almost as much as I'll miss the show over the long Hellatus. I hope you keep them up. I'm guessing you could even make a poll about what you should have for dinner fun.

I think Metatron's going to do something awful with or without Rowena's help. And I hope Sam has a really good leash for Crowley's mum. I do think we'll have one of those nothing to do with anything eps to annoy us before the end of the year.

And perhaps there will be more angry cupids. :)

Jacob Stein looked like a supervillain that showed up to thwart superhero Charlie, spout exposition at Dean then die. It was just silly and the stupidity necessary to keep Metatron alive is ridiculous.

Robbie Thompson tweeted Dean was in a hoodie because he was working out and the scene was cut. I would have preferred that to the awkward scene at the end.

I'm still hoping the writers go big and kill a few characters off for a fresh start in season 11.

This is going to sound insane, but I want Sam killed at the end, and maybe Dean. I'm guessing they'll kill Crowley and Cas, especially Cas. The end game has to be TITANIC, and the last two seasons have had jaw-dropping finales. I love Metatron. He'll probably get killed, but he's such a fun little asshole. He makes us laugh. And Rowena has really come from behind as a character. Now that she's not weaseling around Crowley, she's come into her own. It's a blast having a strong female character who's not a bimbo.

I adore your polls so much, I can hardly wait for them!

My opinion on Dean with the MOC-

Since I sometimes get the feeling that the scriptwriters of our show troll LJ/AO3/fanfiction.net to get plot ideas; I think it's possible they may give us the closest 'canon' version of 'were': MOC!Dean will age very VERY slowly- ('coz for a dude around for basically the beginning of the human race, Cain looked very 'young', so it follows that Dean with the mark should share that trait.); and we may have Sam catching up to Dean 'physical-age' wise and then cross him (I mean they've already introduced de-aging; it's not too far fetched, is it?) Of course the special-effects guys will have to work over-time; but *shrugs*
And then ... well, I got nothing.

And I may be sleep-deprived and slightly hungover on fic AND show at the moment. Oops.

I predict that the Rowena will 'help' Sam remove the MoC from Dean, only for it to transfer to Sam's arm instead. That seems to fit with what the showrunners tend to like.

Myself, I would have gone for Sam discovering and using the residual Lucifer grace left inside him to alter the MoC, leaving Dean paranoid about exactly what that implies. But that's probably to subtle for the season finale.

I can't even guess an ending, but I want it to be mean and horrible and heartbreaking and for us all to go "WTF" and then create wonderful and imaginative fics and art that solve everything and/or make the situation even worse and I want this ALL SUMMER LONG!!!
